Mike Mohaupt: Wedding Photographer and Portrait Photographer

Mike Mohaupt is a professional photographer that is based in the Asheville, North Carolina area. He currently specializes in photojournalistic style fine art photography. Mike draws his experience from his time as a photographer for the Grand Forks Herald. While there he covered stories ranging from breaking news to sports championships. Some of the companies that published his work include: Sports Illustrated, The New York Times, USA Hockey, The USA Today, The University of North Dakota, The Henderson Home News, and The Associated Press. While in college Mike also was published in The Photographers Forum “Best of College Photography” Book.

In 2007 Mike Mohaupt had an art show featuring his works “Forgotten North Dakota.” It was his first debuted at the Third Street Gallery. Following the debut, his exhibit was shown at The North Dakota Heritage center in Bismarck, North Dakota. Mike used “light painting,” or an old photographic technic, to light a subject with artificial light that captured images of old abandon houses around North Dakota.
